Further to intimation from the Director General of CERT-IN to the Government of Kerala informing them that Microsoft would not be providing support for its XP operating system beyond April 8, 2014, the Government of Kerala has ordered that “all Departments / Institutions / PSUs etc.” using Windows XP are to migrate to open source software. Only those who believe the use of Windows is necessary are to upgrade from version XP.
