May 9 and 10, 2015 Consilience 2015 – Conference on Net Neutrality organised by the National Law School of India, University, Bangalore The annual technology conference organised by the National Law School, Bangalore focussed on the issue of Net Neutrality. Rishab Bailey, of the Society for Knowledge Commons was invited to present a paper on the links between privacy and net neutrality. Other speakers at the event included Pranesh Prakash (CIS), Nikhil Pahwa (Medianama), Kiran Jonalgudda (hasgeek.com).
May 2, 2015 Workshop on Regulating the Internet in Public Interest: Net Neutrality and Other Issues, Organised by IT for Change, Free Software Movement of India and Centre for Advocacy and Research A workshop to advance the net neutrality and Internet regulation discussions in India, and to bring in new actors to it, as the Internet becomes important for all sectors. The effort was to get a larger ‘public’ to get involved in exploring what is the public interest with regard to issues of regulating the Internet, net neutrality being one very important such issue.Speakers included Rishab Bailey (KC), Amitabh Singhal (Telxess Consulting), Mahesh Uppal (Independant telecom consultant) and Paranjoy Guha Thakurta.
April 29, 2015 Press Conference on public interest issues in the Net Neutrality debate A press conference hosted by the Indian Womens Journalists Association to highlight the issue of net neutrality in light of the TRAI Recommendations on the subject. Panelists included P. Rajive (Member of Parliament), Rajiv Chandrashekhar (Member of Parliament) and Rishab Bailey (KC).
 April 27, 2015 Workshop on Net Neutrality for the National Campaign for the Peoples Right to Information (NCPRI) A workshop conducted by IT for Change and Knowledge Commons with the NCPRI to demystify the issue of net neutrality. The attempt is to get a larger section of civil rights activists involved in dealing with issues of technology / Internet governance.
October 30, 2014 Talk at Ashoka University on Internet Governance and related issues A talk conducted for students of the Young India Fellowship at the Ashoka University, Kundli, Haryana, focussing on issues such as surveillance,censorship and freedom of speech on the Internet, intellectual property protection in the context of the Internet, India’s role in global Internet governance, etc. Speakers included Prabir Purkayastha, Rishab Bailey and Nehaa Chaudhari (CIS).
